Trainer’s Institute 2021: The Recap

If you did not attend any of the 2021 Virtual Trainer’s Institute then you really missed out! After shifting the institute to virtual last year that’s the platform we used this year as well. It did not disappoint! The institute was spread over a 2 week period and gave participants the opportunity to get 13 hours of how to train other adult training hours. We had a great turn out from all Regions of the state.

We were able to secure a variety of trainers including Coach Colene, UK CELTS, Nicki Patton-Rowe, The Bob Pike Group, Raelene Ostberg, and Susan McDonald. All the sessions were very informative as well as interactive. They taught on valuable topics such as how to make your training more interactive online and in person, using technology in training, as well as diversity and inclusion.

During the two week period, the Northern Bluegrass Training Coach, Dawn Griffin, also provided two Trainer Connections events (available to view within the online community). We learned what it was like to have an attitude of gratitude as well as how to live everyday like it’s the best day ever! The Regional Training Coaches presented opportunities for credentialed trainers to interact through Facebook posts and contests.

The planning committee will begin planning again for next year’s institute in the fall. If you have any great ideas of topics or trainers that you would like to see don’t hesitate to reach out to your Regional Training Coach and let them know. We hope to see you again next year at Trainer’s Institute 2022!
