Dear Child Care Providers
ATTENTION! On Friday June 13th, 2025, at 5:00 PM ET, the EKU TRIS system was turned off as we transition to a new platform, KY TRIS. You will not be able to access KY TRIS until August 1st, 2025.
What do you need to do now?
1. EVERYONE: Complete all required training hours by June 30thor before end of First Year or Second Year Review periods if not on standard fiscal year.
[NOTE: You can review the approved training calendar online HERE listed at the bottom of the page or see the attached PDF document. When opening the PDF, the “Magnifying Glass” button should be used to zoom in to see the course information. Selecting “CTRL F” on your keyboard can also be used to search the list with key words to find the courses you need. ]
2.EVERYONE: Please retain any training documentation received DURING the blackout period, as you will not be able to submit them until AFTER August 1st. However, you can continue to submit self-reported trainings with NO Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to ecetris@ky.gov.
[NOTE: The Division of Regulated Child Care (DRCC) will continue to conduct licensing visits DURING the blackout period, but they will not issue citations based on training records until October 2nd. However, citations may still be issued for other non-training-related issues.]
3. EVERYONE: There are currently NO COURSES available on the temporary KY COLT Learning Management System (LMS) DURING the blackout period for the ECE community.
